Jordan lawmakers condemn killing of Palestinian teen

Jordan's Lower House on Tuesday condemned the killing of a Palestinian teenager by radical Israelis, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
The 150-member house, which voiced its sorrow and regret over the murder of the Palestinian boy, labeled the crime as "heinous."
The house also condemned Israeli practices in Jerusalem and preventing Palestinian worshippers from entering Al Aqsa Mosque, which represent a stark provocation of the feeling of the Muslims.
On Sunday, police and Israeli Security Agency (the Shin Bet) arrested six suspects. They believe the killing was carried out for "nationalistic" reasons, to avenge abduction and killing of three Israeli teens last month. The suspects are Jewish residents of Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh, a Jewish lower-class suburb of Jerusalem.
Muhammad Abu Khdeir, 16, was kidnapped Wednesday morning in Shuafat, a Palestinian neighborhood of Jerusalem, when he was going for his morning prayer at the local mosque.
The autopsy report said that traces of smoke were found in his lungs, suggesting he was burned alive.
The brutal murder triggered violent protests in Jerusalem and about half a dozen other Arab cities across Israel.
