
Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Tuesday stressed Jordan’sdeep ties with Bahrain and said the country is keenly interested in further cementingcooperation in media and other fields.He said during a meeting with visiting Bahraini information minister Samira BinRajab, attended by the minister of state for media affairs, Mohammad Momani, thatHis Majesty King Abdullah II and Bahraini monarch Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifa are the driving forces behind the strong relations.Ensour briefed the Bahraini minister on Jordan’s comprehensive political and socio-economic reforms, noting that King Abdullah’s clear vision had largely helpedachieve real and deep reforms and enhance democracy, openness and freedoms.He said Jordan is facing enormous challenges resulting from the exodus of Syrianrefugees, in addition to waves of Palestinian refugees, whose cause has been forgotten by the world.The prime minister said Jordan is barely the only stable Arab country in the Levant,beyond the Gulf Arab states, a status that requires supporting the Kingdom tomaintain its stability and remain a bulwark against dangers posed to many Arabcountries.The Bahraini minister referred to the historic ties between the two kingdoms, notingJordan’s stand towards Bahrain and stressing that her country needs Arab support.She stressed the importance of fostering cooperation with Jordan, particularly in thefield of media.Rajab said Bahrain is determined to forge ahead with reforms and openness andbolster freedoms, adding that despite all the tough circumstances, Bahrain’s policyhad been to present “the truth with utmost clarity.
