
Jordan, on Sunday, welcomed the successful parliamentary and municipal elections in the Kingdom of Bahrain as "a step forward in the political and democratic life." Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammed Al Momani congratulated the Bahraini government and its people for the success of this constitutional entitlement, expressing the hope that these elections would achieve the ambitions of the brotherly Bahraini people in the area of democracy and political reform.
The government spokesman said that these elections reflect Bahrainis' commitment to democracy and political participation, and an indication of an important political stage.
He stressed that Bahrain's elections reflect people's awareness and appreciation of the political process, praising the depth of the bilateral relations at all levels, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
