Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) Spokesperson Colonel Mamdoh Al-Ameri denied on Wednesday that an armed group attacked a number of police stations along the Jordanian-Iraqi border.
Al-Ameri clarified that an armed group riding in three cars, believed to be belonging to the ISIS, engaged with an Iraqi detachment inside the Iraqi territories and seized it. It also bombed another two detachments belonging to Iraqi forces before retreating back inside Iraq.
Al-Ameri stressed that the JAF is ready at all times to deal firmly and without hesitation with any attempt to infiltrate the border and compromise the security and stability of the Kingdom.
