
Jordan Custom Department (JCD) personnel at the Queen Alia International Airport foiled an attempt to smuggle 10,872 Tramadol tablets hidden in a passenger luggage.
The JCD said in a statement on Saturday that it staff foiled an attempt to smuggle other commodities including tools,clothes,sport footwear and other different goods.
"The seized items were referred to the concerned authorities,"the statement said ,noting that the implication fees and customs fines were estimated at around JD 128,000.
The department stressed its determination and keenness to fight all types of smuggling to maintain economic and social security in the Kingdom.
