
Jordanian King Abdullah II discussed Monday with British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond the latest regional and international developments, topped by the Syrian crisis and efforts to reach a comprehensive solution to the conflict in Syria.
During the meeting, the Jordanian king underlined the importance of donors' conference which will be held in London at the end of this week in helping Jordan to deal with the refugee crisis and provide support to economic and development projects, according to a statement issued by the Jordanian Royal Court.
The meeting also tackled ongoing efforts to confront terrorism, which poses threat to security and peace worldwide, added the statement.
Hammond, meanwhile, affirmed his country's keenness on supporting in the continuing influx of Syrians into Jordan.
The London donors' conference constitutes an opportunity to help the kingdom in this respect, he added.
