
His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Monday Iraqi Parliament's Speaker, Salim Juboury, and the accompanying delegation.
His Majesty, during the meeting at the Al-Husseiniya Palace, emphasized the advanced ties between the two countries and Jordan's keenness to further boost them in the interest of the two people. The King called for building on the results of Iraqi Prime Minister's recent visit to Amman.
His Majesty stressed that Jordan was and is still keen to support the unity and stability of Iraq, based on the harmony between all the components of the Iraqi people in order to strengthen the value of pluralism, that would lead to a secure and stable present and future.
His Majesty also stressed efforts to counter the threat of terrorist organizations, and reiterated Jordan's unwavering stance towards Iraq, in favor of safeguarding its unity and stability and promoting Iraq's key role in the region.
His Majesty pointed out that Jordan is committed to work with various parties within the international coalition as part of its efforts to counter the terrorist organizations and extremist ideology, which is a major threat to the security and stability of the region and targets all without exception.
On his part, Jubouri briefed the King about the latest developments in the Iraqi arena, stressing his country's keenness to continue coordination and consultation with Jordan and various Arab countries.
