The two Jordanians, who have been detained in Libya for several months, were released and they returned home on Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Sabah Rafii said.
Rafii said intensive diplomatic and intelligence efforts that were made over the past few months have succeeded in releasing Atef Barmawi and Ahmad Khair Hawamdeh, the Petra News Agency reported.
They arrived in Amman Thursday afternoon, he added.
They were taken as hostages by Fajr Libya militia since March 25. The pair were working in a private firm protecting the EU embassy in Tripoli.
