
Jordanian King Abdullah II left for Egypt on Thursday to take part in the New Suez Canal inauguration ceremony upon an invitation by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Petra News Agency reported.
Jordanian Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as regent in the presence of cabinet members, according to Petra.
Jordanian King has recently asserted that Egypt's stability is pillar of stability of the whole region, calling for the necessity of standing by the Egyptian state under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, especially within the framework of many challenges faced by him.
