Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour met yesterday with a Kuwaiti press delegation currently on a visit to the Kingdom. At the meeting, which was attended by a number of ministers and the Kuwaiti ambassador to Jordan, Ensour hailed the strong ties between Jordan and Kuwait and called for further boosting them in various fields. The prime minister expressed appreciation of Kuwait's support to the Kingdom through its $1.25 billion contribution to the Kingdom under a $5 billion Gulf Cooperation Council grant to Jordan, spread over five years. Ensour highlighted the important role of the media in forging closer cooperation between the two countries. Members of the delegation hailed Jordan's role in addressing challenges facing the region. They also stressed the need to enhance relations between the two countries for the interest of both peoples.
