MP Ibrahim Kanaan told Voice of Lebanon radio on Sunday that the visit of President Michel Aoun to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aims to reactivate the Saudi grant for the Lebanese Armed Forces.
Economic files and bolstering bilateral ties were also on the President's agenda, along with checking on the status of the Lebanese community in the Saudi Kingdom.
"The previous phase is behind us with its crises. Today we turn a new page that could lead to mutual decisions that benefit Lebanon and its neighbors."
On a more domestic note, Kanaan said that the salary scale was a top priority for the administration "within the capabilities of the state."
