Six firefighting units managed to control a fire that broke out in several car workshops in Al-Shuwaikh industrial area Saturday night, but only resulted in "major" damages.
Deputy Director at Kuwait Fire Services Directorate (KFSD) Brigadier Khaled Al-Mikrad told KUNA that the fire covered an area of almost 2,000 square meters full of electrical appliances and plastic tubes.
"No casualties were reported and investigation is underway to determine cause of the blaze," Al-Mikrad noted.
