
About 3,500 Syrian refugees and affected Lebanese families have benefited from the humanitarian aid dispatched by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, in Arsal town, Lebanon.
The distribution of humanitarian aid, provided as part of the UAE's response to the displaced Syrians during the winter of 2016, under the auspices of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to Lebanon, concluded today in Arsal area, Lebanon.
The Director of Attache for Humanitarian and Development Affairs Office at the UAE Embassy, Muslim Al Mansouri, oversaw the distribution of aid in cooperation with the bodies authorised by the Lebanese government to facilitate the delivery of aid and the success of the process.
Al Mansouri said the aid was distributed today to 625 Lebanese families at the office of the Higher Relief Organisation at Fatwa House.
He stressed the keenness of the UAE Embassy, working with its strategic partners and government institutions, to make every effort to ensure that the aid reaches those in need, and to work according to the United Nations' standards in terms of quality and size of aid provided to the Syrian refugees and affected Lebanese.
