Khartoum's Libya neighbors conference kicks off

The fifth ministerial conference of Libya neighboring countries started in Khartoum on Thursday, also attended by envoys of the Arab League and the African Union.
"The conference is held amid complicated conditions. It is high time to stand by Libya and bridge the gulf among all factions -- with the only interest of stopping bloodshed of brothers in Libya," Sudan's Foreign Minister Ali Karti told the opening session of Khartoum's Libya neighbors conference.
Foreign parties and conflicting interests have flared up the crisis, Karti said.
The Sudanese Foreign Minister said the dialogue method to solve the Libya crisis is both security-military, led by Algeria, and political, led by Egypt.
Foreign Ministers from Egypt, Niger, Chad, Algeria and Tunisia are attending the Khartoum's Libya conference, together with their Libyan and Sudanese counterparts as well as Arab League and African Union envoys, Nasser Al-Qudwa and Dalita Mohammad Dalita.
Participants will assess efforts to develop a favorable climate for a dialogue that brings together all Libyan factions to seek a political solution and maintain the country's stability and territorial integrity.
The fourth conference for Libya neighbors was held in Cairo in August, when an initiative was put forward to realize reconciliation among Libyans through dialogue.
