
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to participate in Egypt Economic Development Conference:"Egypt, the future" which is set to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh from March 13 to 15.
The invitation was received by Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa as he received in his office at the Ministry today Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Esam Saleh Awad.
The Minister affirmed the importance of this timely conference which aims to spur economic development in Egypt and attract investments from all over the world. He voiced confidence in the conference’s ability to meet every success and achieve its goals, wishing Egypt further progress and prosperity in all domains.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed strong condemnation of the terror acts targeting Egypt to derail President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s huge efforts to attain stability and security and create a favourable climate for progress and sustainable growth.
In this context, the Minister reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering stance supporting Egypt in all the measures it takes to root out terrorism. He also reviewed with the Egyptian ambassador deep-rooted historical relations between the two countries and peoples.
Both sides also discussed other issues of common concern to both countries.
