Kuwait has strongly condemned the "terrorist" attacks that aimed at undermining security and stability of Yemen, and reaffirmed Kuwait's support to the legitimate president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
A source at the Foreign Ministry, in a statement to the official news agency (KUNA), said he was confident the Yemeni people who prevented the country from sliding into a civil war during the past four years, were capable of overcoming "these difficult circumstances." The statement added that Kuwait is following with concern the "tragic developments" in Yemen caused by escalation of hostilities and attacks on places of worship.
The source called on all Yemeni parties to abide by the GCC initiative and its implementation mechanism, and outcome of the national dialogue.
The southern city of Aden has been exposed to airstrike which targeted the presidential palace and the airport, coupled with attacks against two mosques in Sanaa that killed and wounded hundreds of people.
