Kuwait is keen on hosting Arab events and activities to strengthen Arab joint action, Mohammad Al-Awash, assistant undersecretary for media planning and knowledge development at Ministry of Information, stressed.
On the sidelines of the 67th meeting of the standing committee for financial, administrative and legal affairs at Arab broadcast union, Al-Awash told KUNA here on Thursday that the meeting started today and runs until December 11.
He added the general assembly will elect a president and a director general of the union on December 9-11.
The meeting, he noted, discusses a host of topics, including a study of restructuring Arab broadcasts to cope with media development regionally and internationally.
Kuwait's Ministry of Information, upon directives of Minister Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, provided support to make a success of the event since the country believes in the importance of media joint action.
