Kuwaiti Acting Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled al Hamad al Sabah reiterated on Thursday Kuwait's refusing stance to the violation of the sanctity of Saudi Arabia's embassy in Tehran and its diplomatic missions in Iran's Mashhad, KUNA News Agency reported.
This remark was made by Khaled during a meeting with the visiting Iranian First Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi.
The Kuwaiti Minister expressed condemnation to these attacks that are considered a "clear violation" of Vienna's 1961 Convention on Diplomatic Relations and its 1963 Convention on Consular Relations.
Recalling Kuwaiti Ambassador from Iran comes in line with Kuwait's supporting position to Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries.
Khaled shouldered Iran the responsibility to ease tension and avoid any escalations.
He also stressed the importance for Iran to fully protect diplomatic missions and its staff, in accordance to international laws that guarantees the sovereignty of nations without any external interference to their internal affairs.
