Kuwait sent the second humanitarian aid plane to the war-ravaged Gaza Strip on Sunday.
The plane has left Abdullah Al-Mubarak air force base in Kuwait on early Sunday heading to the Ismaili Airport in Egypt, Deputy Chairman of KRCS Anwar Al-Hasawi told KUNA.
The plane carries a load of 10 tons of medical supplies in addition to a number of KRCS volunteers to meet the shortage in Gaza hospitals, he said.
It is part of an airlift recently launched by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) to transport urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza upon instructions from His highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The plane's load would be transferred to Rafah crossing border in cooperation with the Kuwait Embassy in Egypt and the Egyptian authorities, he added.
A nearly month-long devastating Israeli offensive on Gaza has left nearly 1,900 Palestinians dead and over 9,000 wounded, it has also destroyed totally or partially thousands of homes and public facilities in the tiny densely-populated Strip.
