The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry on Tuesday summoned Iranian Ambassador here on the backdrop of attacking the Saudi Embassy in Tehran and its consulate in the Iranian city of Mashhad.
Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Suleiman Al Jarallah summoned Iranian Ambassador Ali Reza Enayati and handed him a protest note over the incident, which constitutes a violation of international norms and conventions.
In statements, Jarallah said Kuwait expressed in the note its condemnation of flagrant attacks against the Saudi embassy.
Kuwait also underlined the necessity that Iran should respect its international commitments towards diplomatic missions on its soil and protect their staffers, he added.
He asserted the Kuwaiti stance siding with Saudi Arabia and supporting it in all its measures for maintaining its security and stability.
