Kuwaiti Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister of Electricity and Water Sheikh Mohammad al-Abdallah voiced his country's welcome of the Saudi initiative to form an Islamic military alliance to confront terrorism in the region, noting that his country would be at the forefront of participants in such alliance.
In statements to the Kuwaiti "Al-Rai" newspaper out on Wednesday, the minister said Kuwait welcomed such initiative from the Saudi side as Kuwait has been much affected by terrorism.
He considered the move as a joint action that could counter the intruders in the Arab community, asserting the need for consolidation of all efforts to reach a positive outcome in the face of terrorism.
