
Minister of Justice Yaqoub Al-Sanea met with visiting Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bulent Arinc here on Wednesday and discussed ongoing efforts to fight terrorism and extremism.
Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Al-Sanea said they had discussed the possibility of exhchanging experiences of combating terrorism, especially as both Kuwait and Turkey are not away from being impacted by this danger.
Al-Sanea, also Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, noted that exchange of expertise would be achieved according to a schedule to meet the public interest of both countries by combating terrorism and extremist thought.
For his part, Arinc said that his visit aims at exchanging views on bolstering bilateral cooperation and signing agreements related to Islamic affairs as well as implementing some programs in this regard.
The talks focused on facing terrorism in the region as it represents a humanitarian crime which is rejected by the religion of Islam, Arinc noted.
He underlined the importance of organizing educational and training courses for the youth to help them be aware of the ugly face of terrorism and its crimes, saying it is an effective way to face terrorism.
The Turkish official said that the two countries reached an agreement on raising awareness at schools and mosques toward risks of terrorism.
