
The government Monday welcomed the Saudi people pledge of allegiance to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and naming Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz as Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister.
The government, in its weekly meeting chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, also welcomed the appointment of Prince Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz as Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister.
The government, according to an official statement, commended the smooth transition of power in Saudi Arabia which reflected keenness of the Royal Family and the Saudi people on continuing the policies of late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
It expressed full confidence in the leadership of King Salman that would undoubtedly push forward development in Saudi Arabia, and leading the country amidst critical circumstances facing the region.
Prince Salman, said the statement was a genuine stateman.
