International Coordination Officer at the Ministry of Communication Samir Al-Turki was elected deputy chief of the Arab League standardization team.
In a press statement issued Saturday, the Ministry's Public Relations Department Director General Ahmad Al-Husseini said that Al-Turki was elected for a three-year term by all member states of the League.
He pointed out that Al-Turki's election and the recent election of Kuwait as a member in the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council would boost Kuwait's role in decision-making processes in the information technology and communication sectors at the regional and international levels.
