
Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij has received an honorary doctorate from an international youth volunteering initiative as an appreciation of Kuwait's "outstanding" role in supporting social and humanitarian activities.
Philanthropic work is part of Kuwait's policy and is carried out by Kuwaiti embassies under the directives of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Al-Duaij said.
On his part, the initiative's regional CEO Mabrouk Al-Shamasin said that the Kuwaiti envoy was chosen to receive this honor for the notable voluntary activities he has been doing throughout the year which left their marks on local press.
He explained that the initiative is concerned with giving aid to the underprivileged, developing the infrastructure of remote areas, rehabilitating the locals and supporting small businesses.
The initiative is based in Malaysia and has branches in the UAE, Jordan and Morocco.
