
Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah on Wednesday discussed with Hawalli Governor Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Al-Assima (capital) Governor Thabet Al-Muhanna the preparations for the ceremonies of the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir as "a humanitarian leader." Sheikh Salman, also the Chairman of the Permanent Committee of National Ceremonies, discussed with the Governors coordination for celebrating this occasion, due in September, "which is dear to the heart of every citizen and resident." The three leaders discussed the ministry role in supporting the Governorates and means of ensuring their development, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Information.
It quoted Sheikh Salman as saying the meeting was part of the permanent coordination among the national apparatuses, enlightened by guidelines of His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister.
Separately, the minister discussed with Chairman of the Kuwaiti Artists Union Dr. Nabil Al-Failakawi and members of the federation support for the national theatre. He praised the theatrical movement for promoting cultural awareness at the national level and promoting Kuwait's civic image.
