
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said Wednesday a police station is the first frontline in the security action for protecting the safety of citizens and expatriates.
"The political leadership offers strong backing for the security personnel in shouldering their responsibility for protecting the safety of lives and property and regulating traffic," he said.
Sheikh Mohammad made the remarks during an inspection tour of the traffic, public security and patrol departments of the Ministry, according to a statement by the Ministry's Security Media Dept tonight.
He conveyed to the leaders of these departments the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
The inspection tour, is part of Sheikh Mohammad's efforts to make sure of the soundness of the security system and the implementation of the comprehensive strategy to modernize this system, the statement pointed out.
He was briefed by the senior officials of the Ministry on the projects being carried out under the strategy to facilitate the traffic flow and introduce modern technologies of traffic safety.
