The National Assembly approved the family court bill in its first reading in its regulation session on Tuesday.
The bill stipulates for establishing a special and separate court and prosecution unit to handle family related cases for the sake of more privacy.
To save time and efforts, the bill states that the cases would be examined only by the first instance and the appeal courts and their rulings can not be challenged before the cassation court.
It also establishes family dispute settlement centers across the nation to mediate between the two sides in order to broker reconciliation or dispute-settlement agreements.
It envisages the establishment of visitation centers to end the disagreements over the place where visitation rights could be practiced.
