National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem on Monday praised results of the GCC leaders' Summit, hosted by Saudi Arabia on Sunday, namely the decision by Riyadh, the UAE and Bahrain to reinstate their ambassadors to Qatar.
The Parliament Speaker, who heads the Gulf parliaments group, said in a statement the meeting outcome was assuring and gave the GCC a badly-needed boost. He lauded the extraordinary efforts, exerted by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, "to thaw the ice in the relations among the brothers." "People of the Gulf have pinned great hopes upon His Highness the Amir's efforts to tackle the GCC rifts and such confidence in His Highness has been substantiated."
