Labour Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan received today Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Essam Saleh Awad and discussed with him bilateral cooperation in the labour and human resources development field. The Egyptian ambassador hailed the government's efforts to develop and ensure stability of the labour market as well as protect labour rights. He also praised the government's outstanding efforts in tackling the issue of dismissed workers, stressing that Egypt's stances in the International Labour Organisation Board of Directors' meetings in Geneva and other Arab and international conferences reflect Egypt's high respect for policies and programmes implemented by Bahrain to promote labour rights, boost trade unions' freedoms and regulate the labour market. He added that his country highly values political, economic and social achievements in Bahrain under the comprehensive reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
