
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ramtane Lamamra, participated Friday night in New York at a ministerial meeting of countries Libya's neighboring, on the sidelines of the 69th Ordinary Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
During this information and coordination meeting, participants assessed the work achieved since the establishment of this group last May at the initiative of Algeria, on the sidelines of the Conference the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries.
Lamamra stated the ongoing preparations for the upcoming launch of a dialogue between the Libyan protagonists.
Besides, he presented the vision of Algeria concerning the interaction between the group of Libya's neighboring countries and other international partners expected to contribute to the international effort for mediation.
Participants discussed the situation in Libya and the need to take into account the complexity of the ground realities and the balance of power between the parties involved in modulating initiatives and ensuring their efficiency.
