"His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah extend their heartfelt greetings and appreciation of the devotion of all Foreign Ministry staff, and most specifically teams assigned to duties relating to the three main events the homeland hosted most recently." This sentiment was conveyed in an address by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Thursday, during a gathering honoring ministry staff topped by Foreign Undersecretary Khaled Sulaiman Al-Jarallah and heads of departments. The staff's performance was particularly hailed in relation to the Third Arab Africa Summit, the 34th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the Second International Humanitarian Pledging Conference for Syria. Addressing those honored, the minister added, "You were all up to the mark and proved worthy of the trust, and you gave a good image of your homeland before our guests." The speaker stressed that small as it is, the State of Kuwait always worked on fostering the best of relations with all nations of the world regardless of their politics and trends, and this is out of belief we are all equal partners in one world. This balanced approach was a key factor behind UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's choice of our country to host the first and the second Syria pledging conferences, he added, and a key factor behind our success in bringing all parties onboard and to the table at said events. The responsibility in the near future is just as weighty, he noted, as Kuwait chairs Arab African action for three years, heads the current session of the GCC, and has to follow up on results of and pledges at the Syria pledging conference, as well as preside the regular 25th Arab Summit to be hosted in March. For his part, Undersecretary Al-Jarallah said he thinks this honoring of ministry staff is well-earned, and noted their performance was matter of envy among other state bodies and ministries. This level of performance would guarantee and encourage success on other occasions, including the Arab Summit in March, he stressed
