
The Lebanese army arrested Saturday a Syrian citizen over charges of belonging to a terrorist organization.
The suspect, identified as Gazi Othman, was arrested in Akkar district, northern Lebanon, for fighting along a terrorist organization.
He was nabbed as he was suspiciously strolling with another Syrian national near a military camp, the army said in a statement.
Meantime, the army said that wanted Palestinian Ahmed Hassan Maraie, was arrested in Sabra region.
Maraie is wanted for terrorism acts, the army noted.
It added that clashes took place among Palestinian persons in Sabra Friday night before an exchange of fire occurred and a number of house were set ablaze.
The army interfered and restored order to the area.
