
The Chargé d'Affaires at the Lebanese Embassy to Bahrain Ibrahim Assaf hosted here last night a dinner banquet in honour of the outgoing French Ambassador to Bahrain Christian Testot.
A number of Ambassadors accredited to Bahrain, Foreign Affairs’ Ministry’s officials and businessmen attended.
The Lebanese envoy affirmed the deep-rooted Lebanese-French relations and the civilisational and culture ties bonding the two countries.
He commended the efforts exerted by Ambassador Testot and constant participation in diplomatic gatherings.
He asserted that foreign diplomats working in Bahrain agree on their love to the kingdom and enjoy constant support from the local authorities and "hospitable" Bahraini people.
He added that the Bahraini people’s "moderation and openness" and the "cultural diversity" enjoyed by the kingdom help diplomats assume their duties in the best way.
He wished Bahrain and its leadership every success in achieving more stability and prosperity.
The French Ambassador thanked the Lebanese Chargé d'Affaires for his initiative.
He expressed delight at representing his country in Bahrain, praising the support accorded to him in the kingdom.
