Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam on Wednesday stressed the necessity "to boost our regime and democracy in institutions by electing a president for the republic." Salam's stance came today during a conference for launching the strategy of rural tourism, in presence of Information Minister Ramzi Jreij, Tourism Minister Michel Pheraon and other ministers and deputies and dignitaries.
Jreij gave a word during the event, highlighting the significance of stability and security as essential for any strategy in this regard, indicating that such two factors can be reached through "boosting national unity and our support for the Lebanese Army." Consequently tourism will be improved, National News Agency (NNA) quoted the minister as saying.
