Lebanese security forces on Monday arrested the brother of former Lebanese lawmaker Hassan Yacoub over his involvement in the kidnap of late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's son Hannibal.
The arrest was carried out at Rafiq al Hariri Airport few months after detaining the former lawmaker Hassan Yacoub over interrogation in the same case.
Hassan and Hussein Yacoub are sons of Mohammad Yacoub who disappeared along with Imam Moussa Al Sadr, founder of Amal Movement in the 1970s, after a visit to Libya during the era of former Libyan leader Muammar.
In December 2015, Hannibal, who has been living in exile in Oman since the ousting of his father from power in 2011, has reportedly been visiting his wife in Lebanon when he was snatched by gunmen.
He appeared in a video aired in December on Lebanon's local Al-Jadeed TV saying anyone who has information about Imam Moussa al-Sadr should come forward.
Al-Sadr, one of Lebanon's most prominent Shia clerics in the 20th century, vanished, along with two other people, during a trip to Tripoli in 1978. Lebanon blamed the disappearance on Muammar.
