Lebanon's Hezbollah: Israel wants to set new rules with Syria's Golan raid

An Israeli attack which killed six members of Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah last week was an attempt by Tel Aviv to set "new rules" in the conflict between the two foes, Deputy Leader of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem said at a gathering to commemorate the Golan Heights attack martyrs.
Sheikh Naim Qassem's comments were the first reaction from the group's leadership to the missile attack in the Syrian province of Quneitra near the Israeli border, the World Bulletin reported.
"It is a Zionist attempt to lay the foundation for a new (military) equation in the framework of our struggle with them, but Israel is too weak to be able to draw new steps or new rules," he added.
Qassem did not elaborate but hinted that the group would respond. He said Hezbollah leader Seyed Hassan Nasrallah would give the group's formal stance in the coming days.
"We will continue our jihad and we will be where we should be without (allowing) anything to stand in our way," he said.
