The health services office of Libya's Sirte on Sunday urged the local authorities to launch an investigation into the death of an Egyptian doctor and his family at a polyclinic on December 23.
In a statement, the office said the Egyptian doctor, Magdy Sobhy, was a founder of the central diabetes clinic in Sirte in 2007, and worked in the recent period at a polyclinic in Garef district, 30 kilometers south west of Sirte.
Some 13 Egyptian Christians were kidnapped in Libya on Saturday, but no group has claimed responsibility for the accident yet.
