
MP for the province of Anbar Liqa' Wardi confirmed on Saturday that despite the announcement of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi that he issued orders to stop the shelling of residential neighborhoods, two days ago, but a number of neighborhoods of Fallujah are still being bombed.
Wardi told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that in the time that the political and popular circles welcomed the Prime Minister's decision to stop the bombing, Nazal neighborhood in the center of Fallujah was subjected this morning to aerial and artillery bombardment, killing and wounding a number of citizens.
Wardi called on al-Abadi, as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces to instruct the forces concerned to comply with the orders that he has issued, because this would enhance the credibility and contribute to creating a conducive climate to the achievement of national reconciliation returning to Iraq its cohesion and achieve its security and stability.
