
Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab carried out an inspection tour of Damietta while he was accompanied by a number of ministers.
During the tour, he met with citizens and youth, listened to their problems and promised to solve them.
Mahlab visited also the Consumer Cooperative Association in Damietta and made sure that different goods are available before the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
The prime minister inspected also the water station that was established in the Delta city in 1906. The station's capacity will be upgraded with a total cost of 100 million pounds and will be finished by the end of 2015.
Earlier, Mahlab inaugurated the development work at Damietta Ophthalmology Hospital which was established in 1974.
The development of the hospital began in June 2012 with a total cost of 5.5 million pounds.
