Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab conveyed greetings from President Abdel Fattah at a meeting of the Steering Committee of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) held on the sidelines of the 25th African Union Summit in Johannesburg.
Addressing the committee meeting, on behalf of Sisi, the Egyptian premier commented on the speech of United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa Carlos Lopes regarding the 2063 development goals that have been ratified by the previous AU summit in Addis Ababa.
Egypt supports development goals under the 2063 agenda to achieve prosperity, build a strong infrastructure, develop the agriculture sector and inter-trade in Africa, Mahlab said.
He pointed out to Egypt's hosting of a summit of Africa's main trading blocs: the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the East African Community (EAC) and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), which led to launching an agreement for establishing a free trade zone.
