
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab wrapped up his tour of Sohag province by visiting el-Samakeen area, located on the River Nile, with a total area of about 3.65 feddans.
During his visit, Mahlab listened to the demands of the residents of el-Samakeen area, who called for providing them with alternatives houses with sanitary drainage services.
They also called for establishing a health unit in the area and remove garbage.
Following his visit to the area, Mahlab contacted the health minister over the phone and assigned him to dispatch medical convoys to the residents of el-Samakeen area.
He also phoned the urban development minister and affirmed to her that this area was one the top of the government's priority in development plans.
He also assigned the housing minister to swiftly finalize the sanitary drainage project in the area.
