Manpower Minister Gamal Sorour said Monday his Ministry will soon finalize two bills on labor and trade union freedoms.
The two bills will be referred to the Parliament for ratification, Sorour added.
Trade union elections will then be held across the country, the minister said.
Sorour said he met with Director-General of the International Labor Organization Guy Ryder on the fringe of the 13th regional African meeting of the ILO in Addis Ababa.
The meeting took up means of boosting technical cooperation between Egypt and the ILO, the minister said.
He assured Ryder that the Egyptian government will respect the outcome of the trade union elections.
