The March 14 Alliance in Lebanon on Tuesday called the government to close the borders with Syria, to prevent armed people moving in and out of the country..
Head of the Future parliamentary bloc, Fuad Al-Siniora, said in a press conference that the Lebanese Hezbollah had exposed the country to grave risks, urging it to withdraw from Syria.
He said that Hezbollah didn't distance itself from the events in Syria, just as all the political powers in the country had agreed.
The Lebanese people who "sympathized with the Syrian Revolution and supported demands for freedom" will never allow a Syrian to carry arms on the Lebanese soil, Siniora said.
The March 14 Alliance today held a meeting to discuss developments in the border town of Ersal where militants attacked the Lebanese army recently.
Participants denounced the attacks against the Lebanese army and security forces.
Siniora also read from a "rescue plan to guarantee Lebanon's stability and security" urging the election of a new president and the rejecting of any aggression on the army or illegitimate arms in the country.
He also called on the government to set up shelters for Syrian refugees near the borders.
