
Libyan chieftains resumed their meeting in Cairo on Tuesday in an effort to unite the Libyan people and solve the political crisis in the North African country.
The meeting, which was inaugurated here Monday, will continue until Thursday.
Cairo is hosting the meeting of Libyan chieftains out of keenness on quickly achieving stability in Libya for reconstruction efforts to start there.
Egypt has always supported the legitimate institutions in Libya and respected the will of the Libyan people.
Cairo has made it clear it backs any national consensus that would render the UN-brokered dialogue between the different Libyan parties successful and help achieve stability and prosperity in Libya.
