MP Mohamed Badrawy, head of the National Movement Party, said that he will submit an urgent request to the House of Representatives to hold an emergency session to respond to allegations by the European Parliament and its stark interference in Egypt's internal affairs. In statements Saturday, Badrawy described the European Parliament's statement as ''inflammatory" and aims to tarnish the Egyptian State's image.
He also said that the European Parliament's statement prejudice investigations conducted by the specialized authorities in the case of murdering an Italian student in Egypt.
Badrawy also asked what is the stance of the European Parliament from the Israeli violations which are committed against the Palestinian people and where it was when the Americans raided Iraq and committed violations in Abu Ghraib prison.
On Thursday, the European Parliament released a statement calling on Egyptian authorities to provide their Italian counterparts with all the documents and information necessary to enable a swift, transparent and impartial joint investigation and Egyptian authorities have to bring the perpetrators of the crime to justice as soon as possible
