
The special forces unit managed to arrest Ali Abu Alaa Said, head of the media committee in "Jund al Khalifa" terrorist group, which has announced loyalty to Daesh extremist organization.
Two of his aides were also nabbed. The weapons and documents in their possession were seized.
During the investigations with the detainees, security bodies unveiled some plans that the terrorist group intended to carry out during the holy fasting month of Ramadan, according to well-placed sources.
The organization planned to target governmental, security and military facilities including the cabinet, the sources noted.
The bodies concerned took necessary measures to secure the governmental buildings.
