
Terrorists involved in an attack on the embassy of Niger have been arrested, said the interior ministry on Saturday.
Police stormed a terrorist hotbed in Ayyat township in Giza where a leading terrorist was killed in the battle, said the ministry.
The man was identified as Magdy Bassiouni Shaaban from Haram district of Giza.
The other arrested members confessed to adopting Jihadist and Takrifi ideologies.
They planned to attack more targets including police and army personnel.
Meantime, the interior minister said in a statement that it killed five terrorists in Fayyoum. The five were killed in a raid on their site. They exchanged fire with the police.
They were wanted for killing and attacking a police officer and his daughter who was killed in the attack.
