
The Syrian army foiled militants' attempt to blow up an explosive device in Talkalakh countryside and killed scores of rebels in many areas in Homs. A military source told SANA that the army eliminated a number of terrorists affiliated to al-Nusra Front and destroyed their hideouts and gatherings in the areas of al-Dar al-Kabera, al-Khaldyeh, Keseen, Hawara, Ba’youn and al-No’aymat. An army unit clashed with militants who were trying to infiltrate the area of Jub al-Jarrah and killed and injured all of them. Another unit killed a number of militants while they were trying to set a mortar in the area of al-Qabban in Talbeseh. In Talkalakh countryside, an army unit dismantled a 20-kg explosive device planted by militants on al-Shalah highway. Terrorist Muslat Mamdouh Zaal, leader of "Ahrar Homs" terrorist group was killed in the area of al-Ghabghab while a number of terrorists, among them four snipers, were killed in the areas of al-Mashjar al-Janoubi and al-Saan. Meanwhile, other army units foil militants' infiltration from Lebanon into Talkalakh countryside through al-Bqaiya'a site killing and injuring scores of them.
