A military funeral was held for non-commissioned police officer Mahmoud Mohamed Ahmed Shafei who was killed in an explosive device blast in a farm in Gharbiya earlier on Saturday.
Gharbiya security chief and other senior officials attended the funeral.
Mourners chanted slogans demanding retaliation from the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group.
Earlier in the day, security bodies received a report that a blast hit a farm in a Gharbiya village and that two injured people with a third one fled the place in a car following the incident.
When security forces and civil defense teams moved to the place, they found materials to make explosive devices and unidentified objects.
One of these objects exploded when the non-commissioned police officer was trying to defuse it, killing him.
